Laing O’Rourke was engaged under an EPC contract to deliver the Windibri Water Treatment Plant with technology partners Osmoflo.

Laing O'Rourke was responsible for delivery of the Balance of Plant design and construction scope including bulk earthworks, detailed civil works, piping, mechanical and electrical trades. Scope also involved commissioning and performance testing of the end-to-end process system, which included coordination, installation, commissioning and performance testing of the client-supplied process equipment including microfiltration and reverse osmosis filtration systems.

Through continual consultation and a flexible approach, we were able to deliver a tailored solution for the client, and establish a long-lasting relationship that would lead to Laing O'Rourke being awarded the contracts to deliver the Kenya Water Treatment Plant and Northern Water Treatment Plant projects on behalf of QGC.
