Innovate reconciliation action plan

Managing Director Cathal O’Rourke today officially launched Laing O’Rourke’s new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

At a ceremony held in Laing O'Rourke’s new Sydney office, 100 Mount Street – Cathal was joined by Reconciliation Australia’s Karen Mundine and representatives from our Indigenous supply chain partners, along with a number of our Indigenous staff members and representatives of our clients to celebrate this important milestone.

Mr O’Rourke said that as one of the first major construction companies to develop an endorsed Reconciliation Action Plan, Laing O'Rourke has a long and proud history of supporting Indigenous communities.

“Our involvement on large scale projects located in or close to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities give us a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to help close the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people,” Mr O’Rourke said.
