The Abraham Moss Library and Leisure Centre will form a key part of the Abraham Moss Community Campus.

The programme will see the construction of a sports hall, two squash courts, gym and dance studio, along with a modern library. The facility will also have a six-lane swimming pool, learner pool, steam room and sauna.

The team has, in recent years, delivered leisure and community projects across Greater Manchester including Hough End, Levenshulme Arcadia and East Manchester Leisure Centres; and they will bring the power of their experience, along with the expertise of the Laing O’Rourke specialist supply chain to deliver revitalised facilities to the people of Crumpsall.

Key to the development of the Abraham Moss Library and Leisure Centre, is the programme’s social value plan. Included in this is our dedication to education activities designed to inspire construction minds of the future through school workshops, mentoring opportunities and work experience programmes.

Tuning into local expertise and supporting the local economy will be an important element of the programme’s delivery. We have committed to spending 50% of the project value with local suppliers, running employability support initiatives and creating nine new jobs or apprentice opportunities for local people.

During the construction phase, our team will work with the community and they have committed to support events, host site tours and keep residents and community groups local to the project updated on site progress in a timely manner.
