Laing O'Rourke Wins Place On University Of Cambridge Framework

Laing O’Rourke has been named on the University of Cambridge’s Estate Management framework, which has a potential total value of £500m.

Laing O’Rourke is one of nine companies to win a place on the two year framework, which could be extended for a further three years. The framework has been split into three value bands, with Laing O’Rourke shortlisted as one of five for projects worth in excess of £30m.

The framework will include the delivery of new laboratories, academic spaces, catering, accommodation, sports facilities and work on listed buildings.

Paul Sheffield, Managing Director of Laing O’Rourke’s Engineering Enterprise said: “It is great to be able to extend our deep and long standing relationship with the University of Cambridge. There is a wide range of projects available through the framework and we are excited to be given the opportunity to put our expertise to good use and meet the needs of such a prestigious institution.”

Laing O’Rourke has previously worked with the University of Cambridge on a number of major projects including: Judge Business School, the Department of Mathematics phases one and two, and the Cancer Research UK headquarters.

Laing O’Rourke is joined on the higher value band of the framework by Balfour Beatty, Bam, Bouygues, and Kier.
