Laing O’Rourke appointed to CWAS2 ProCure23 framework05.04.22
Laing O’Rourke has been awarded a place on the £9bn ProCure23 lots and on the £21bn Construction Works and Associated Services central government lots.
The framework is divided into lots by project type and value. Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) in partnership with NHS England and Improvement awarded Laing O’Rourke three lots: lots 2 and 3 of the ProCure23 lots and lot 5 of Construction Works and Associate Services.
- ProCure23, lot 2 will award projects to the value of £20m - £70m to the nine successful construction partners.
- ProCure23, lot 3 will award projects over £70m to the eight successful construction partners.
- The Construction Works and Associated Services package, lot 5 includes major construction projects over £80m to the 20 successful partners within that cohort.
Following a thorough process of information sharing Laing O’Rourke join an alliance of strategic suppliers now in a position to secure future healthcare and central government major projects over the next four and a half years.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
The frameworks recognise the importance of public sector construction as a key driver of economic recovery, helping the UK to build back better. It will also focus on delivering greener facilities, reducing carbon emissions throughout the process, and promoting social value.
