The Award is the most prestigious award in the construction industry and the competition is fierce.
Late last year Laing O’Rourke was confirmed as one of six finalists, with the MUR project delivery team then undergoing a rigorous assessment process – including a day long site inspection with an independent panel of experts.
Laing O’Rourke’s Australia Hub Managing Director Cathal O’Rourke said he was extremely proud of the team that delivered this significant project.
“Our innovative approach to project and supply chain management, high-security delivery methods and detailed stakeholder management ensured the successful delivery of this project,” Mr O’Rourke said.
“It was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget for a satisfied client that sees it as a benchmark for delivering all major construction and engineering schemes in the future.
"The sheer scale of the logistics involved in the delivery on a day-to-day basis is hard to compare to any other project delivered in Australia in recent memory and the quality of what we delivered will ensure it is always counted amongst Laing O’Rourke's premiere works, anywhere in the world.”
