Leadership Transition For Western Region

Stuart Crofts joins Laing O’Rourke to lead operations in WA.

As foreshadowed to clients in May 2015, Stuart Crofts has now officially joined Laing O’Rourke and will steer Western Region into its next stage of strategic growth.

He brings three decades of delivery experience, and more than 20 years’ work in WA resources and infrastructure markets, to Australia’s largest privately owned construction and engineering organisation.

That detailed local knowledge and long-term client relationships will be matched with Laing O’Rourke’s innovative approach and our ambitions to challenge and change the industry.

Stuart has spent his first days in the business with Laing O’Rourke’s delivery team on the $500 million Wheatstone LNG civils contract, near Onslow in Western Australia.

After the detailed handover period ends, Stuart will take over the Western Region reins and an Australia Hub board position from Liam Cummins, who moves to the UK to lead the Europe Hub construction division for Laing O’Rourke.
