In tribute to Emeritus Professor Campbell Middleton

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Emeritus Professor Campbell Middleton.

Professor Middleton, or Cam as we knew him, was a close friend and inspirational figure to so many of Laing O’Rourke’s people.

As a founding Director of the Laing O’Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology at the University of Cambridge, his passion for nurturing talent has shaped the careers of hundreds of engineering and construction professionals throughout the industry. And as the Laing O’Rourke Professor of Construction Engineering since 2010 his teaching and ability to spark innovative thinking has equipped his students to lead industry transformation.

We will miss his enquiring mind. We will miss his guidance, his leadership, and his friendship. We know that Cam’s legacy will live on through the changes he has inspired others to make.
