Annabel Crookes
Annabel has more than 18 years’ experience in the construction industry, and for the last 13 years, has held a number of leadership positions at Laing O’Rourke Australia. She now leads the legal, risk and company secretarial functions for Laing O’Rourke and is an Executive Director of the Australia Hub.

Joining Laing O’Rourke in 2007 as Corporate Counsel, Annabel was the second lawyer to join the in-house legal team, playing a leading role in developing the organisation’s internal legal capability.

Annabel completed her MBA at the AGSM in 2011, at the same time as stepping into a broader leadership role as General Manager of Laing O’Rourke’s Human Capital and Legal functions and Company Secretary.

She was appointed as a Director of the Australia Hub, maintaining responsibility of the Hub’s legal and risk functions in June 2018.

Annabel was also elected as a Director of the Australian Constructors Association Board, and the first female Vice President on the national association’s executive team in December 2019.
