The Thames Tideway Tunnel project is a £5 billion scheme which will greatly increase the capacity of London’s 150 year old sewage system. Split into 3 delivery areas: West, Central and East. Laing O’Rourke is constructing the largest of these, the 12.5km Central section, in joint venture with Ferrovial Agroman UK. We’re unique on the Tideway project as we’ve employed two tunnel boring machines (Millicent & Ursula) to tunnel west and east from our main site adjacent Battersea Power Station.
