Laing O'Rourke has been engaged by Transport for NSW to build a new, architecturally-designed substation within the existing rail corridor at Lindfield Avenue, Lindfield.
The new substation will increase the power supply along the North Shore Line, providing capacity for more frequent train services.
It will also future-proof the power requirement of the North Shore Line to enable the upgrade of train services to support the delivery of the North West Rail Link.
Laing O’Rourke strives to minimise noise impacts through mitigation measures such as the careful selection of equipment and tools, covering loads, holding regular ‘toolbox talks’ with workers to minimise local disruptions, as well as performing high noise activities during less-sensitive hours where possible.
