Two New Project Wins For Transport for Tomorrow

28.11.22

We’re excited to announce two new project wins for our Transport for Tomorrow (T4T) team: The Sydney Terminal Building Revitalisation Project (STBRP) and The Sydney Terminal Area Reconfiguration Phase 2 (STAR2) Project.

Delivering several tranches of work for More Trains More Services (MTMS), the T4T team will deliver the circa $300m STBRP Project. The project involves upgrading the Central Station Terminal Building with enhanced public spaces and a myriad of commercial and retail spaces. The work that T4T is delivering will improve people’s experiences of the Central Station precinct for decades to come.

The T4T team has also been selected as the preferred proponent to deliver the STAR2 Project, with a total value of circa $100m. The project will improve the efficiency of train movements to and from Platforms 9 to 14 at Central Station and enable 10-car New Intercity Fleet (NIF) trains to access these platforms. It involves the installation of new track infrastructure and adjustment of existing tracks, overhead wiring and structures, signalling to reflect these changes, electrical works, platform modification works and associated civil works such drainage and combined services routes. Project completion will be early 2025.
