Laing O’Rourke is moving to 100 Mount Street
Laing O’Rourke will officially take up residence in its new Sydney office at the end of the month, after successfully completing construction of North Sydney’s tallest and most prestigious commercial tower – 100 Mount Street.
Laing O’Rourke constructed 100 Mount Street, North Sydney’s largest and most prestigious commercial tower on behalf of Dexus, incorporating the latest innovations in high rise design and construction.
As we strive to position ourselves as the recognised leader for innovation and excellence, our new home in Sydney will serve as a springboard for the next chapter of our Australian story.

As workplace culture evolves across all industries we have created a collaborative and innovative working environment with a focus on wellbeing. Our new office, at 100 Mount Street, has been designed to create an inviting, flexible and welcoming workplace for our people and offers sweeping views over Sydney Harbour towards the Sydney CBD.
The development includes premium end-of-trip facilities and a number of sustainability initiatives, including a double skin façade that will enhance comfort and significantly reduce energy consumption, setting a new benchmark for office accommodation in North Sydney.
100 Mount Street has showcased our Digital Engineering capabilities to enhance the design, construction and the operational phases of the project’s life.
The team has also demonstrated a strong commitment to our Next Gear safety agenda, taking out the Best Continuous Improvement of a Workplace Health and Safety Management System award at the 2017 National Safety Awards of Excellence.
100 Mount Street has also been the birthplace of Laing O’Rourke’s Inspiring STEM Plus programme, our ground-breaking school engagement programme which has been designed to encourage more girls into STEM courses at university and ultimately careers in construction and engineering.
Laing O’Rourke is one of the anchor tenants in the new 100 Mount Street and we will occupy levels 20 – 22.
Our new workplace provides our people with a range of different workstation options including high tables and sit to stand desks, with breakout spaces on every level, as well as collaborative work spaces for informal meetings.
The 100 Mount Street design was centred around employee wellbeing and sustainability. The building achieved a 5 Star Green Star as Built water and energy rating. Green Star is Australia’s trusted mark for quality of the design, construction and operation of sustainable buildings, fit-outs and communities. 100 Mount Street also achieved a 5 Star NABERS energy rating which is used to measure a building’s energy efficiency, carbon emissions, as well as the water consumed, the waste produced and compare it to similar buildings.
