Considerate Constructors Award Wins

Fourteen Laing O’Rourke projects were recognised at the recent 2017 Considerate Constructor’s Scheme National Awards.

At the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s (CCS) National Site Awards a total of fourteen projects received recognition.

Four projects picked up Gold Awards, including The Severn Crossings Maintenance project and the team redeveloping Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital who were both picked as runners up for the ‘Most Considerate Site’ in the country.
The CCS Awards recognise and reward Britain’s best construction sites for the contribution they have made towards improving the industry’s image. The Scheme itself looks at how a site has shown consideration towards local neighbourhoods, the public, the workforce and the environment.
Isabel Martinson, the Scheme’s executive chairman said: “On behalf of the Scheme, I would like to congratulate our award winners on their success.
“Every award-winning site is a beacon of best practice – making significant strides to continually improve the image and reputation of the UK construction industry.
“The Scheme is hugely proud of the efforts of these top-performing sites and we thank them for their hard work, dedication and commitment to achieve ever higher standards in considerate construction.”
