Take A Tour

17.02.16

Western Australia’s Transport Minister Dean Nalder showcased Laing O’Rourke’s augmented reality capability releasing a virtual tour of the new Perth Stadium Station using the LORAR+ App.

The LORAR+ technology provides a platform to Laing O’Rourke’s unique augmented reality approach to demonstrating projects.  It allows our clients and other stakeholders on a project to interact with 3D models, animations, detailed fly-throughs, holograms and other virtual project information.

Laing O’Rourke is currently delivering the $100 million train station project for the new Perth Stadium at Burswood in partnership with Public Transport Authority and AECOM – as the PRISM Alliance.

Minister Nalder, who also released details of upcoming construction activities on the project, said the virtual tour provides 360-degree views of the new station and will allow fans to get a better understanding of how the infrastructure will work.

"The virtual representation will enable Perth Stadium Station commuters to get an understanding of how the stadium will look when they utilise the new route to go and watch their favourite team play at what will be Australia's best sport stadium," Minister Nalder said.

The Minister also praised Laing O’Rourke’s use of innovative technologies in the delivery of the project. You can read the Minister’s full media release here.

The LORAR+ app is available to download on iOS and Android devices. For further instructions on how to access the Perth Stadium Station virtual tour, click here.
