Laing O’Rourke’s Careers Site Best-in-class

Laing O’Rourke has won ‘Best School & College Leaver Recruitment Website’ at the 2016 AllAboutSchoolLeavers' Awards, beating competition from finalists including Sky, Jaguar Land Rover, Balfour Beatty and PwC.

The awards are based on the views of young people currently participating in apprenticeships and trainee programmes – and are designed to help prospective candidates identify the best employers in their preferred sectors.

Laing O’Rourke was also shortlisted for ‘Top Employer - Property & Construction’ and ‘Best Sponsored Degree’.

The ‘Top Employers for School & College Leavers Awards’ is an annual event, which this year featured 29 categories – including skills development, career progression, training and company culture.

Finalists are nominated by apprentices and trainees drawn from 100 UK organisations – with results based on a survey, covering a range of areas including job satisfaction, quality of training and work-life balance.

The development of the new Laing O’Rourke careers site was led by its Corporate Communications team in collaboration with Human Capital.
