The ACT Courts Facility in the centre of Canberra, will be the Territory’s first public private partnership. Our team also involves Macquarie Capital and Programmed FM services.

In a statement today, ACT Deputy Chief Minister and Attorney-General Simon Corbell MLA said:

“The new ACT Courts Facility will accommodate the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, Magistrates Court and Childrens Court with a four story new link building fronting Vernon Circle joining the existing Magistrates and refurbished Supreme Court buildings.

“The facility will have 18 courtrooms, five of which will be fitted to accommodate juries.  Other features in the facility including a dedicated witness suite, interpreters’ facilities and framework to support the hearing impaired”.

“The facility will also promote best practice facilities for witnesses and their families, with dedicated spaces for community service and domestic violence support agencies and a mediation hub with facilities capable of hosting multi-party mediations,” the Attorney-General said.

We are confident the Juris Partnership solution will deliver an outstanding new legal precinct for the ACT while maintaining an important emphasis on heritage, urban design and sustainability.
