What does the programme involve?
Our structured apprenticeship programme combines practical experience and formal learning. As well as on-the-job training you will work closely with a specialist ‘registered training organisation’ (RTO) to complete the theoretical component of your trade. We support a wide range of apprenticeships at locations nationwide. These cover building construction, and electrical and mechanical trades, and more.
We also offer accredited traineeships. Delivered over one to two years, on successful completion candidates will qualify for a certificate or diploma in their chosen discipline. Traineeships are offered in a variety of fields, including office administration, accountancy, health and safety, environment, rail operations, site operations and manufacturing. All training is delivered on-site and/or online. The expectation is that you will manage your own studies, with around two hours a month face-to-face tuition provided.
Who is eligible?
Apprenticeships are offered at all levels whether for school based, school leavers or mature aged applicants. Laing O’Rourke is committed to upskilling our workforce and offering rewarding career paths at all levels of the business.
