RedR becomes our new corporate charity
Laing O’Rourke's Australia Hub has appointed leading humanitarian agency RedR as its new corporate charity,
signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier this month.
RedR Australia works to relieve suffering during humanitarian crisis, by selecting, training and providing competent
and committed personnel to humanitarian relief agencies worldwide.
With operations around the world, Laing
O’Rourke is an Engineering Enterprise that plays an important part in many
different communities, not just delivering critical infrastructure – but also creating
employment and business opportunities, supporting local initiatives and
engaging with schools and colleges.
MoU will see Laing O’Rourke donate an initial $50,000 to support RedR Australia’s
important work. It will also establish a Value Chain Plan that will focus on
employee engagement and building to skills transfer.
