Opportunity to learn while you earn

Apprenticeships provide work-based training for those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.

Laing O’Rourke has developed a four-year accredited programme for all new Apprentices into the organisation. It offers the opportunity to learn through a mix of hands-on skills training and formal academic qualifications in all aspects of modern engineering and construction. The programme is focused on three pathways, offering routes which are multi-trade (combining two key trades leading to S/NVQ3), operations (leading to three single S/NVQ2’s) or specialist which leads to a single specialist trade (at S/NVQ level3)

The company is now seeking applicants who are dependable, reliable, committed, flexible, team-players and who also are willing to learn and potentially work/train away from home on one of our projects throughout the UK.

Applicants should have a minimum of three GCSE’s A-C, or six months experience in the construction industry or have achieved something exception during their school life.

The programme sponsor, Martin Durkan (Director, Expanded) is leading this programme on behalf of Laing O’Rourke says “For employees who have children who are considering their career choices, in particular in preparation for the end of this academic year.
