Founded in 1865 by Conrad Vetter as a small local stone masonry, Vetter has developed into a multi-national stone company with worldwide operations.

Once a supplier to the King of Bavaria, the name Vetter is synonymous with attention to detail and innovative, yet practical design and installation solutions for natural stone projects.

Vetter UK, our specialist natural stone contractor, has established itself as a major player in the UK. Working throughout the UK and Ireland, Vetter UK undertakes all aspects of stonework. 

We design, supply and install high-quality facades, floors, and urban landscaping and paving - along with internal fit-outs and natural stone restoration. We also install rainscreen cladding in various materials, and conglomerate, ceramic and terrazzo floors.

The company’s portfolio of successful projects includes major retail developments, large commercial premises, public buildings in the transport, health, education and entertainment sectors, heritage restorations, ecclesiastical projects and urban landscaping. Sports centres, leisure venues and residential developments are also a feature of our wide experience and expertise.

Vetter UK is the proud inheritor of the skills and knowledge of generations of English and German stonemasons, gained through two centuries of trading, culminating in the merger of Vetter UK and Laing Stonemasonry in 2004.

Vetter UK is complemented by the resources of Naturstein Vetter GmbH and Vetter Polska; with Group-owned quarries and a modern manufacturing plant in Germany, where Vetter can process the stone required for any project.
