Our bespoke ‘Apprenticeship Plus’ programme is an excellent career choice for young people. The four-year accredited course was developed in partnership with ConstructionSkills and allows participants to learn technical, business and personal skills while working for a world-leading engineering enterprise.
The scheme leads to a Level 3 NVQ in your chosen trade and provides three main career paths. On completion you can chose to stay on site and focus on trade skills, join our cadet programme and undertake further education, or move into supervision and management.
With a longer duration than most traditional apprenticeships, the programme enables you to build a broader range of professional and personal skills. This is ideal for those with the potential to move into management or leadership roles.
Our unique offer includes:
- Attractive pay rates that are higher than average UK apprenticeship rates.
- Formal industry training through a high-performing further education college, complemented by leadership and management training from Laing O’Rourke.
- Expert support and advice, giving you the best platform to excel.
- An individual mentor who works closely with you and your college, and provides regular feedback on your development.
- Eligibility for the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ awards scheme.
- Integration with our fast-track cadet, graduate and leadership programmes.
- Career development which is planned, supported and monitored through our annual appraisal scheme and development centres.
We offer a diverse range of apprenticeships. To find out more about these opportunities and the type of work available, please click here and search for our UK Apprenticeships.
